Restoring the warradarge creek

Funding: State Governments Natural Resource Management Program


Project Aim: The aim of this project is to work with landholders and partnering oganisations to restore the Warradarge Creek by erecting 15km’s of fencing to protect approximately 120ha of riparian vegetation, of which in some cases will create corridors to link remnants on private and/or public land, in a network that allows for wildlife movement.
Revegetate 2ha of eroded bank with advice on species selection from the Department of Water, which will improve water quality and landscape connectivity, downstream through to the Hill River estuary.
Photo monitoring stations will be established and the first set of photos taken to provide baseline photographic data.
